I need this software extremely bad. Before anyone posts about "robbing software" or " join Cisco with a service contract" ect ect.. I bought this ubr 924 Cisco cable modem/router on Ebay. I did not know it was end of life sale.. I also did not know Cisco was selling them 5 to a box for 200 bucks. I got stuck with this thing, and now Iv'e been trying to get it to work for a month now. I went out and bought a console rolled over cable, I can access the router thru Hyper terminal, and Ive spent weeks learning Cisco programming.. to no avail. Im not a skilled Cisco programmer, I just know the very basics and what Ive been following in paper form. Ive come to the conclusion that the current version Im running 12.1 is not compatible with Cablevision.. IE Optimum Online. For the love of pete, can someone send me the 12.2 (13) software to my email? Have mercy on plight. Thank you all in advance.. and let the flaming begin ;p

My Email is mechsouls@aol.com also my Opt Online Email is ttgarcia@optonline.net

-PS Im very close to putting this router on the ground and running over it with my truck.

You cant just use any IOS - it has to be the one for the router - it only has 8mb.

Personally thats probably why you got it so cheap - how much you pay - there are a lot of ripoff merchants on ebay - personally i dont use it anymore.

I tried to buy and sell cisco routers buying from ebay then selling in the local press but missing psu's , cables , memory , ios etc i just gave up.

Try ioshunter although because its endofline its pretty hard to get the ios unless you know someone who has the same router you can take their flash image!!!
check the flash ram - you can list it like in dos - there may be other images in there as frequently more than one in case of primary ios failure - they will have a .bin extension ie ubr925-c-12-2.bin

is there just one pcmcia flash card?
boot system flash disk0:new.image

Why don't you buy a CCNA book? It comes with Cisco's RouterSim, all for $250. Cisco isn't for learners. Go get a LinkSys or Netgear or something, and you won't have near the anxiety.
