sysopt gone loopy

I think sysopt is on a loop.

For over four days now I keep getting a message from Sysopt that someone has replied to my thread, but the thread mentioned - General Discussion - In the clink for sharing files, is not my thread, its Bigjakk's, and the message keeps repeating sometimes three times in succession. Perhaps a setting gone wrong?

YOu may have clicked the little link at the bottom of th page that says Recieve updates about this thread" or you may have email notification set as a default.

Maybe your computer has a guilty conscience, you been sharing files? :eek: :D

Check in your user cp, check out your subscribed threads, you may have to change the "show threads from" drop down box to see the offending thread, you can then unsub from there :t

Thanks Jakk for a realistic response, this is no joke it gets annoying, it is still happening, the last one I got was meant for that hitler guy, found its way to me, I will let it run its course, I did check on settings in cp.

...thats interesting, seeing that Hitler was banned a good couple of days ago, i'd just say the emails are playing silly sods and your the unlucky one on the end of it. I had somethign once where the mail server kept sending me notificatiosn over and over again and as my mails set up to check ever minute...well...it got messy. I simply switched my notification address to one of my other inboxes, then switched it straight back and voila, it had stopped :confused:

Mac It says YOUR thread? Funny, when I get email notifications it says:macampbell has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - sysopt gone loopy - in the General Tech Discussion forum of SysOpt Forums.

For me all "Reply to post" notifications say this same thing regardless of who's the threadstarter, my threads get the exact same notification, with of course the title and forum names of the appropriate thread.
