Hello,
I have a Digital Research 48x cd burner. I am running winXP pro. Burning a cd takes 10-15 minutes and the processor is 100% active during the process. I tried enabling DMA, but it is in PIO mode all the time. I WAS able to enable DMA on my dvd drive. I was able to enable DMA for the burner in win 2000 and the processor was only about 10-15% active, and I was able to burn a cd in 2-3 mins. Mine is a DELL 4550 system. Can someone please help me with this. Thank you.:)
