I have a machine that is running win 2000 pro. The machine was given to me by a family member however they have lost/forgotten the win 2000 password which is required to logon to the machine. I have the win 2000 pro disk so is there anway to bypass this logon screen or reinstall the os to overcome this problem.

It's best to just reinstall.
