It DOES take some getting used to. I used the 2000 for a while. I went back to my Intellimouse Explorer though. The BS is fast and accurate, but the IE was much more comfortable...and since I had both... Dave smartxtai 07-12-2001, 11:59 AM "house" = "has". sorry, was watching a tv commercial when typing my post. well i was deciding if i should get a microsoft explorer or the razor boomslang. i hear that the razor boom mouse isn't optical?? is that true?? aand whats the difference between the explorer and the boomslang. smartxtai 07-12-2001, 02:05 PM aw man...i just went into razorzone's site and they seemed to be outa business. their parent company went broke. DOH! anyone know where i can buy this razor boom mouse online? or any stores? acid_burn~187 07-12-2001, 05:53 PM Your not loosing out. I have a BS 1000, my brother has a BS 2000... They both broke within a year... which wasn't unexpected cauz they were known for their ****ty construction... And if you do get one, when it breaks yo uwon't be able to get it replaced. I still use my BS 1000 (I had ti replaced before they closed) and i'l use it till this one breaks (I'm expected anytime now) and then I'l get a Logitech optical mouse. ~Paul ragtop 07-12-2001, 08:16 PM Yeah, my brother also had a Boomslang that broke. He had it replaced just before they shut things down, but the replacement they sent him was defective (falling apart) when it arrived. He's pretty bummed because he's a pretty big gamer and he loved that mouse. daveleau 07-13-2001, 12:06 AM Both have nice button configs. I like the big buttons on the BS. It is not a very comfortable mouse though. I can rest my entire hand on an IE, but just my fingers on a BS. The BS is not optical. At least the 1000 and 2000 are not. It is very accurate though and not uncomfortable. I just liked the feel of the IE better. (The wheel on the BS is much better for gaming compared to that of the IE). Dave smartxtai 07-13-2001, 12:12 AM like i play counterstrike. and i use a intellimouse optical mouse right now and sometimes, it takes a while for me to aim RIGHT at the person especially if they are far away. i have to move little by little to get my crosshair right onto the person. daveleau 07-13-2001, 12:34 AM In TFC, my fav game, I have no problems with either. It seemed like I could whip around and frag someone really quickly with the BS. It was more a comfort preference thouhg. I still reigned supreme (yeah right) with the IE. It did not seem to slow me down. Sniping with the IE was still very good. Dave SysOpt.com
