Well... I have to say it: I've been impressed by an Intel processor!
The Centrino 1.5GHz I have to give up today has been rock solid over the last few days, doing over 50 WUs in 5 days! It averages about 500MFlops/second according to multiple random checks with SETIWatch, and I don't doubt that for a second.
It goes to its new owner today :( but it did its duty well for me! I hope I can afford to get a laptop with one of these fine processors inside soon!

Yeah but SiSoft's numbers are off by a multiplier of 10. Better yet... know that my XP1800+ @1690 MHz sustains 300 MFLOPS/second as well, as reported by SETI Watch.
If you have a P4 2.8 GHz, doesn't it have Hyper-Threading? Why not run 2 instances of SETI from 2 different directories? You'll increase your output significantly. That's only if you have the 800 FSB. If you have the 533 FSB (Northwood "B" core), you're SOL then.
Weeellll, just got setiwatch installed, and it says 525 mflops. Yet oddly enough, this is one of the slowest WUs i get. They are normally at about 40% on setihide, but this one is only 30%

Well by comparison, I have 2 2.4 GHz Dell OptiPlex GX260T workstations, both running the 3.03 CLI and SETI Driver. They both average about 3:15-3:30 for most workunits. So you should be in the near 3:00 WU time yourself.
I just damewared into the house, and checked the 20 someodd workunits I did while my cable modem was down. 6 were under 3:00 on the XP1800, and the rest were 3:15-3:25.
Yup... about 2:50 - 3:00 normally. Sometimes the odd 2:00-2:30 :D
