reliable hub

well, school time! im looking for a hub that will connect like 8 computers at most. cables. no wireless. i got myself a dlink cardbus adapter for my laptop. im thinking of getting a dlink hub.

anyone have a preference? i heard dlink is the most reliable for networking.
looking for sub $50 is that possible? im not such a hot searcher. help me out:t
