I had a problem w/ all 4 computers in my house some while back. I could not connect to this site w/ opt online

I had various nic cards-most realtec, intergrated & non intergrated. running win xp on some & w98se on others. last week I built a computer using a biostar mobo w/ via onboard lan. It connected right away. What is the difference-why would it not connect w/ one & not the other. I am using same antivirus.

Wouldnt be a problem with the nic.
More your router , a virus on all pc's or your main ICS wasnt working.

the new computer works plugged into the same lan jack as the old computer was plugged into ( that I couldnt connct with). And it was just a few local school orgs, all other sites came in fine.:(

it's not a nic issue at that point. onboard vs pci makes no diff.

something in your dns proxy was probably screwed.

Ok - so is there something I can look at on the computer that connects to this site & configure it the same on the computers that dont connect?
