Well, ever since I had to format my HD because my Windows screwed up, I have become a backup freak... Does anyone know of a good FREE program that I can use?

Get" Drive Image Pro" and forget your worries!!
Create the image: transfer the image to another partition..and job done. The whole process takes about 10 minutes.
Go, get it!!

What OS are you using. I would also suggest doing Raid 0. Helps with a failed HD but not a bad install of Prog/OS.
Drive Image? I would suggest getting Norton Ghost 6.0 (much better prog).

Dont know how badly windows screwed up, but you can always delete the windows directory from dos or something and re-install without the need for a format.
Using a seperate partition or hard drive for data could also save you in some but not all situations, i use one partition for my home directory and annother for system stuff, and you can also use that partition for backups of system files.
Have you tried the backup prog that comes with windows? msbackup or something like that. I dont mind it, but thats all ive ever used. The added bonus being it comes with windows.
(i cant speel)
