I need help in performing this experiment!

Hi! I have an old GameBoy Advance, I would like to make/install a backlight for this. Where can I get a light diffusion material and reflective film? I mean like those on the backlights of cellular phones. I know there is already an add-on on the old GameBoy Advance that installs backlight (The Afterburner) but I dont want it cause it's so expensive and it washes away the colors on the GameBoy Advance.

I would like to install/experiment on putting a backlight for the GameBoy myself. Can anyone help me? btw is there a light diffuser material available commercially? and reflector film? I already tried to disassemble an old defective cellular phone and see it's backlight technology. I saw a plastic material that diffuses/scatters light evenly and a white film. Is there a thinnest light diffuser material available? and a white reflector film?

I'm not sure of what you're saying at all. :confused: But I own a GBA also, and sometimes I get fed-up when things on the screen are unclear.

what I mean is, is the material on the back of the LCD (the material that diffuses light, the material that scatters light evenly and uniformly) available commercialy? and what do you call it? I tried researching and found out that it is called "diffusion material" but Im not sure. It is for backlight technology. And I also wanted to ask if there is a thinnest possible for that material.
