ok.. my cousin brought me his computer.. and he said he thinks that his video card is having trouble or somethin ... anyways i turned it on and got a bios screen that was ALLL jumbled and stuff.. it froze upon trying to load xp.. .so i opened up the side of his case to find a heatsink half way mounted on his gforce 4  it was hanging off ...(only 2 pins holding it in! how come the dont make those things right side up... instead of making them hang.. haha) and none of the thermal putty was even touching the heatsink to the g/chip.. well i figured that was it , but to make sure i tried another vid card.. it worked perfect.. i even tried the gforce in my computer.. and it garbled my bios too.. so i know its that.. what my question is.. is this fixable? can it be repaired? i dont think he has a warranty on it ... and im sure it just overheated.. is it nothing more than a paper weight? lol thanks for readin this if you get this far.. thanks

I think it's a paper weight now. The other option for it would be leaving it on the coffee table as a conversation piece. ;)
