I have often looked for the same thing. I have 100s of cds and cdrs that need to go away but I hate to just trash them. I've been unable to locate anything yet though.

I have a lot of dated CD-R disks and hate to just throw them out - Anyone know of any recycling efforts?

Can anyone give me a run-down of the exact materials a CD-R is made of?

Please - don't bore me with ye olde Christmas tree and rear-view mirror stuff.....

There was a post a couple of years ago about a Coast Guard request for old CD's

They put them on Life Jackets to be used as signal mirrors.

Searching the archives yielded NO matches.

I wonder if they are ALL there ?

This is a good point you raise - it's just more plastic that will be around for years & years http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

There are only so many drinks coasters you can use! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Any suggestions, peeps?

boosting this one back up to the top -

I'll do a little research and see what I can find out there - there seems to be a need.
