can i use pc133 sdram on an amd athlon with a 266mhz bus ddr mobo?

Do you mean 266 MHz FSB ? Or mobo with support of DDR SDRAM ?
You can use PC133 on mobo which supports CPUs running @ 200/266 MHz FSB (100/133 DDR), or on mobos which support both SDR SDRAM and DDR SDRAM, as those with ALi MAGIK 1 chipset.

PC133 will NOT fit into the memory sockets of a DDR motherboard.

PC66/100/133 us 168-pin DIMM modules and DDR uses 184-pin.

ASUS makes a board called A7A266. It has three slots for SDR, and two for DDR. They can't be used at the same time though. But that's not big deal cause if you were running DDR, you wouldn't want .the speed drop that comes with PC-133
