My buddy keeps talking about doing it. I want to give it a try sooner or later. Can someone tell me what would be involved in running a car sub on a PC? Or would reboxing my Cambridge subs help with the sound any?

OuTpaTienT 07-09-2001, 02:55 PM Sure it'd work, but you need an amplifier to power them. DanU 07-09-2001, 07:32 PM Check out this thread for some tips: http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/014516.html Warthog 07-09-2001, 08:59 PM Yes you could follow what the other guy did in that thread.....or follow what I said in that thread http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Warthog BBA 07-09-2001, 11:28 PM I took a surround amplifier apart and mounted the amp inside a 12" subwoofer enclosure I made. I also made an electronic crossover for the subwoofer...worked great with the SB-Live, then I got a sound card with 6 channel AC3 out, so now it's totally discreete. It kicks any computer sound system you can buy in the ****. Plus, it sounds the way I like, not the way some bogus sales market team wanted. ( Oh...I use Advent speakers with it also. ) SysOpt.com
