I wanted to upgrade my Graphics card to AIW as above. I bought and returned the card as I am not getting sound with this board. What options do I have as I really like the featurs.

Is changing the mobo one of the solutons, if so which board would be most compatable without reinstalling all my software.

Any VIA-based KT333, KT400 or KT600 would work.

Next time ask us - we may be able to get a problem like the sound fixed.

Is this EPOX 8RDA+ rev1.2 board one of the one's that would qualify, or which one do you suggest.

You don't need it. The Asus A7V333 is perfectly fine, and you won't see much of a performance boost going to nForce2. Possible upgrades are one of the 333MHz FSB bartons and an Audigy card.

The onboard sound is OK, but the Audigy is infinitely better. And I wouldn't return a graphics card based on sound issues anyway. :p

In case I am not clear, I am getting TV without sound. That has been my problem with 9700 and also tried the 9000. Both boards did not produce sound, only video.

In case? No - you were not clear. I dread going through this again.

Open the volume controls by double-clicking the speaker icon. Click Options > Advanced Controls and enable all controls. Now see if the line is muted or turned down.

You may need a line-out/line-in loop from the ATi to the line-in jack on the motherboard or the sound card, depending.
