hotmail unaccessable?

anyone else use msn hotmail? i cant login. is it just me?

i too cannot login. i managed yesterday afternoon, but ALL my contacts were deleted.

Got into my hotmail account fine. But a friend has told me he couldn't get into his for the last three days.

Hotmail (and others I would think) has different servers. Awhile back I could not access my hotmail account but my son could without any problems. I fired off a email to the adm and recieved a notice that they were aware that the server was down that held my account, and that it should be back up in a few hours.

Mine was down for a bit too. I could get in through www.hotmail.com (http://www.hotmail.com) but not through MSN Messenger or MSN Explorer....

MS stated that about a third of msn users worldwide were having problems, ms said that it was a hardware problem but didn't really elaborate. They said that the contact lists were simply unavailable, and not deleted or lost...we'll see i guess, mine is still down. Hotmail works just fine,,but msn messenger hasn't worked for almost a week now.

thats it.i can access email account but cannot login to messenger. wonder if messenger is only available to msn isp paying customers???

I rarely use my hotmail acct and had to reverify my account to get in (I haven't used it in a coon's age http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif). It worked ok though. I got an email t verify my Passport email acct. You can read more in the news about Passport. What a laugh.

I have OE set up to receive my hotmail account and have benn getting stuff there no problem, but I can't logon to the service otherwise. Try the new msn explorer, my wife did and it automatically logs in to her account.

I am on hotmail right now though last night, messenger and hotmail could not connect for about 3 hours.

mine worked last night. But now it's back to normal

I've just checked mine for the first time in 3 weeks. It worked just as normal and as normal I had to block over 30 Senders who seem to just be bombarding me with junk. I've had a lot lately at both Hotmail and 1 of the AOL Addresses I use.
