Im trying to use a white desktop wallpaper in XP here, however the shadowed Icon Text makes it almos timpossible to read anything against it. To remedy this i simply disable the shadowed text feature under system>advanced>performance options, however this then restores the old 'text box' style of older versiosn of windows in which the text is surrounded by a coloured box.

Now i seem to remember a while ago a small freeware app, a couple of Kb's in size that removed text boxes and turned icon text black or white as you wanted. Does anyone know of this program or anythign simialr that could be of use to me.

Cheers

I did that earlier but it dont quite look right (theyre different shades of white:x), and the boxing makes a mess of the image file.

Im trying to remember the name of that ickle transparency program but cant for the heck of me recall it:(
