I installed a EPOX-DR02P3 ULTRA100 RAID controller card and after the BIOS is loaded for the Controller card the message comes up “This System does not support PC_-66 MHz”

System Specs:

EPOX 8KTA2 MB
256 Meg Memory
Hardrives connected to MB: 1-Fujitsu 13G as master and 1-20G Fujitsu as slave
Hardrives connect to RAID ATA100 controller: 1-40G Samsung on channel 1 and 1-40G Samsung on channel 2 (these are setup as regular ata drives instead of in a Raid format)

I have run the ULTRA66 software for the drives that are connected to the MB and it returns the message that the drives are set at ULTRA66

Cannot use the software for Samsung drives as it does not recognize the hardrives connected to the RAID controller just the one the MB channels, so they come back as “Incompatible”

I do have the ULTRA66 cables attached to the drives on the MB and ULTRA100 cables attached to the drives connected to the RAID controller.

All the settings in the BIOS are set to AUTO, so what have I missed here? What next?

Thanks

Well, I'm throwing this one out of the hat =) Maybe your pci bus is too old? And ata100 controller need to have pci 2.1 or whatever the newest is?

This RAID controller should work fine with your 8KTA2 mobo. What I can suggest is to use latest mobo's BIOS, available here (http://www.epox.com/html/english/support/motherboard/bios/8kta.htm) and latest EP-DR02P3 drivers from here (http://www.epox.com/html/english/support/motherboard/drivers/download_ep-dr02p3.htm) . I don't know if it a problem, but BIOS section in EP-DR02P3 support page is unavailable.

Best Regards ...
