I've been having a couple of problems with my new mobo since I've installed it.

First of all the built-in 10/100/1000 Realtek network port does not seem to work, the lights will light up and everything but it just does not seem to work. I've installed the latest drivers off of the website and off of the cd. The computer recognizes the port but it won't make contact with other computers or my modem.

Secondly the audio seems to be really low, I've gone into the audio drivers settings, the audio control panel, to no avail. All the volume controls are set to the highest yet, it just does not seem to work at high volumes. At one point I thought it might've been the speakers but they work fine on the other computer.

Thirdly when I go into the bios I cannot get the multiplier settings to show up. I've been waiting for a bios update but there has been none as of yet for the pro 2. And yes, I have pressed ctrl+F1 but that only changes the menu with the fsb in it. There are multiplier dip switches on the mobo but whenever I change them to any setting except for 11x.

My system settings are:

Windows Xp SP1 PRO updated online as of 8/17
GA-7N400 Pro 2 mobo
512 MB Geil PC3200 Ram
2500+ Barton @ 1.83 GHZ since I can't overclock it.

Help with any of these problems with other people who may be having them or who know of a fix or update. Thank you very much!!

:D

I have the 400pro.

This is what works for me on nforce boards when nic does not work. I have found that removing the power from the cable modem, rebooting once without the modem having power, reconnect the power to the modem and reboot, works for me every time.

Dont know about the audio, gigabytes web site says something about low volume in the faq section, but I didnt read it.

Unless your bios is different, my multi settings are under cpu/voltage controll on the right side of the menu at the main bios screen.

ctrl-f1 show more options that just the fsb menu, look closer.

sounds like a combo of the dip switch not being set right, and bios options not set up properly.
