It deffinitely is still there!...if inactive!

as i said....i've used the MS patch and the symantec tool

I have (ticked) de-activated it! and it seem's to be inactive! certainly no more problems.....yet

NOTE: the file i am talking about is "blast.exe" and not MSBlaster!
is there a differance?

I have norton AV thaught that was clear when i said i used the symantec tool!

anyway i've not had any more problems so hopefully it's ok now!

A "tool" and a program are two different things. You never said that you had the program.
