Does anyone know how to redirect cookies from Windows\cookies to the recycle bin instead? I took a quick look in the registry, but didn't see anything.

Thanks

uhhh, errr, ahhhh...

That would defeat the purpose of a 'cookie'. Like a command line version of excel.

Thus your only choice is to disable all cookies in your Internet Options or prompt for acceptance of cookies.

go here http://www.analogx.com/

cookie wall is a very useful utility for selectively deleting cookies.

Deleting isn't a problem, it would just be "more appropriate" to send trash to the trash can!

I'm still confused as to why you don't either disable cookies that are stored on your computer, or only allow them for certain sites. If you turn cookies off... you'll have none to send to the recycle bin.

I only allow cookies for "Trusted" sites... and there's only 3 of them on the entire Internet... anyone want to guess what one of them is... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I use the program called window washer to remove all of them plus a lot of items IE saves that a person can't get to real easy. It isn't a free program. But I think it is worth the price.
It also has a way to save only selected cookies. It runs at system start up if you want. It is a easy program to learn.

I have also used the program cookie muncher. It is a real time program. Small and doesn't use much in the way of resources. It will kill every cookie as it comes in. it doesn't put them in the trash bin eather. So you won't have to empty it.
It is free ware also. You can't save any with this program.

I'm wrong.
Thus your only choice is to disable all cookies in your Internet Options or prompt for acceptance of cookies.

Should have stated the above or find another manner to manage them effectively.
