It is rated to 1.5ghz. Do you think it could do that.

Looks kinda wacky, its hard to see in those pics.
If your worried about a heatsink working properly just get one off the amd recommended list.

Hawkeye:
Niffty looking HSF, and I agree regarding the grease / thermal pad. Might perform well, but ya never know till ya try it. One feature turns me away from such sinks, and maybe all companies will wise up and change this.
I'm not advocating the particular Taisol shown below, but the area I circled showing the 3-clasp-connector for Socket A boards makes incredibly good sense!

If you do get the single clasp HSF in your pic, let us know how well it cools for my "info files."

i tried the heatsink and it sucked. first of all the connecter is not strong enough to get to the core of the CPU. I know this because I stayed in the bios screen and the temp got to 60C and then i turned my comp and touched the heatsink and it was not very hot. Second, the fans blades should be inclosed not open. I took out the heatsink cleaned the CPU and I put my new Volcano II in there, so I am done now.
Thanks everybody!!

You MUST use thermal paste or at least a thermal pad.

You wont know the true power of the thing if you dont use thermo paste or atleast a pad.
