Pretty cool, nice to see nVidia isn't being all that bullheaded, and with them turning over some patent info on graphics technology, we may even see Cirrus Logic come crawling back into the graphics technology department (Like S3 is, sweet.)

What gets me though, is...am I the only person who noticed that IP rights and all this patent **** on 'soft technology' is impeding the progress of technology in general and is more or less used only to steal legally between companies?

I wondered, because it seems 'lawsuit' comes up regularly during 'corporate strategy' meetings in (unnamed) companies.

Pfft.

Everyone get together and make ubercomputers, thats what I say lol :t

Dracas i dont think you read it right they didnt play nice. the big guys (send me money guns and lawyers) won and then some!

{In connection with the settlement, Cirrus Logic will transfer to NVIDIA a portion of its patent portfolio relating to the former graphics products group }
