I recently assembled a pc for my son (I had put one together long ago with help from a friend) and was having some problems getting the motherboard to work properly (ASUS A7N8X Deluxe). I am almost a total n00b at doing this kind of thing, and I just wanted everyone to know that without your kind help on some posts in this forum I would have never gotten the issues resolved. With this in mind I decided to register so I could thank you all (I went back to some posts to find my answers before joining the forum). To up date you the system I put together was
1 Gig OCZ CAS 2 memory
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Mob
Wester Digital "Raptor" Hd
ATI Radeon 9700 Graphic Card
Cheiftec Case (2 front,2rear, and one side panel fan)
Sony 52x24x52 CDRW
Window XP Home Edition
With your help I was able to install the Serial ata drivers, get the system to post (and reconize the hard drive), install the OS, drivers, and all other related hardware and software. Thank you all for posting the solutions to a lot of n00b problems, your help was vital for getting this system put together and running. Thanks again to you all.:t
