Ditto on what Todddster posted. You will not lose a single bit / byte of data.
Good luck!

Back in 95, the Operating System might have been the floppy drive version of Windows 95. Lots of people on Sysopt have recommended reloading Windows after MB replacement. The person doing the replacement maybe should have asked whether an attempt to use the existing data was desired. However, suppose the change was from a 486 MB to a Pentium. This might have proven to be technically challenging to the person doing the upgrade. 1Chris 07-08-2001, 12:04 AM Back in 95, I had somone upgrad my Motherboard and CPU. I lost everything. When I told my geek brother in law, he said that when you change the MB & CPU, that has nothing to do with the info on your HD. You can do a combo change and still have all your stuff when your done. Can you do a Motherboard and CPU Upgrade and still have all your stuff there when your done, or do you lose everything when you do it? Don't think we have enough storage to save his whole importaint stuff on his system. Thank you, Chris. Todddster 07-08-2001, 12:16 AM Your hard-drive should not be affected after upgrading a new MB & CPU. You'll have to re-install some drivers and it will ask for your operating CD so make sure it's handy, but the new MB should auto-detect your old HD without any problem. Todd SysOpt.com
