Hi
I got in my p4c800 deluxe two network cards. One of them is built in the motherboard(3com gigabit w/Ai Net) and another Realtek 10/100 mbps. I have them installed in winXP Pro.
I have only access to one network card at the time. To use the other card i need to disable the other one that i was using. I could use a switch but that slows the connection about 1,5 MB.
How can i solve this prob, in order to use them both at the same time?

I also have acrossed with another problem. I want to share my folder/hdd to the network, but i don't see any option regarding to put a password on that share. But if i go to win Me/98 i have no prob with this and win XP sees that the folder from ME/98 is password protected.Any way to solve this?

Another problem is i was restarting my computer when i saw this text on the desktop's left-down corner saying "Windows XP Professional Beta Built xxxx". My Winxp is not beta but i have managed to take this for a while somewhere in the registry until it appeared again. Is it possible to take this forever?

After i installed XP there were many options on the task bar appeared, and i could see many options to choose from there(like shuttting down or restarting, etc..), and see my CPU usage on the program. Now when i press ctrrl+alt+del it appears only the programs running. Can i put this the way it was or is it some king of winXP bug?

Thanks for helping,
Microemission

dude, you should make separate posts for each question. it's hard to answer you with sooo much stuff.

first off, why are you trying to use 2 network cards at once? you can do internet connection sharing, but you can't double your bandwidth by using 2 nics for the same network. it just doesn't work like that. I would dump the realtek and just use the onboard gigabit.

winxp doesn't use that crappy password stuff that win9x does. you need to set up user permissions to the drive. if you don't want people to use the folder, then remove the everyone group and only add users you want to allow.

can't help you with beta stuff. that's against the rules here.

Beta? If you didn't pay for it, it isn't the real thing. You need to spend some money, friend.
