Help please

Here is the message I get:

svchost.exe has generated errors and will be shut down by Windows. You will need to restart the program.


OS is Win2K

It just started this today. Does anyone know what would cause this? How do I fix it?

My copy/paste, find files or folders, printers and other things are affected.

does your computer give you this error when you start up your machine? or when you do something specific like open a certain program. Have you installed/updated any hardware/software before this started to happen?

No, I didn't add anything new or do anything different. I just came home, turned the blasted thing on, hooked up to the internet and after a few minutes that message popped up.


It also won't let me click on the links you provided Tunza. Well I can click on it, but it doesn't do anything.

I'm thinkin' this is the one of the symptoms of the blaster worm that is on the internet.

My wife's computer at work started doing the same thing the day after I first posted. What are the odds.

Just about everyone in my town has/had the blaster worm.
