Hi guys,

I am gettin this error message each time i connect to internet. I am using a dial up connection.

after this thing happens i cannot disconnect from internet. The only way to disconnect is to either log off or shutdown the system.

if i log off and try to log in again, i don't get to the desktop, so i have to shutdown and then restart again to use the system.

The only thing i noticed is that whenever this error message pops up the dialup monitor icon shows somethin is gettin transferred for just a couple of seconds.I don't know how to put this thing in words but somethin like a broadcast to some destination...huh whatever that is?

any suggestions???

os is 2k pro runnin on sp2.

Are you using Spybot by any chance?

my case seems a little different.

see attachment.

There is some "msblast.exe" thats gettin into the system the moment i go to internet. It just chokes the connection of the bandwidth available by sending some useless junk from my pc to some other's.

it disables windows "Find" and also doesn't allow most right click functions to run .

its seems Spybot doesn't detect this thing.

I had to install ZoneAlarm trial to stop it once i got rid of it from Windows\system32 and the registry.

Alls well now.

Now that is odd. I came home from work today and my system was waiting for me to log back in. It must have rebooted itself. I hopped on the internet as usual and i got some error message about having to shut down. It hung there, so I did the old manual power down. I know...shame on me. Anyway, after getting back online it decided it was going to reboot again. This time I checked msconfig while I waited and discovered msblast.exe was loading at startup. I disabled it there and it hasn't been a problem since. Anyone know what the hell this is?

seems like a hijack or somethin...if you don't have some firewall it may come again.

it is really annoyin...I thought it was some ms thing. It really slows down your connection by continously sendin packets around the internet.
