One question, What if Crucial (http://www.crucial.com) Says my motherboard can only use 128MB, but I put in 256MB and It booted normally and windows see's?
Is it fine to have in there and everything normal?

Well, if it works okay without a slowdown, I say leave it in.

Which motherboard is it? Did you check the motherboard manual?

What model is your motherboard? Crucial could be wrong but I would double-check the manual or look for a site that would have a copy of the mobo's manual.Dont really know what kind of prob's too much ram would cause.

Sounds like a BH6. My Abit manual says 256 sticks, Crucial says 128's. I guess Crucial doesn't bother updating their site

Well its a hp Computer so I dont have any documention on it, the site dont have anything helpful about it. Everything seems fine so far nothing running slow or anything.
The motherboard the best I've ever been able to find out is "ASUS MEW-VM" but if you ask anyone at hp its a "ASUS Hawk." Well I know im wanting to upgrade almost all the parts so it cant be considerd hp anymore, Im only need to get a new motherboard/cpu and new OS.
Im wanting to go to AMD but Im broke.
