I use regclean, from MS ( the one prog Wild Billy peddles that I actually like!)

I also use cacheman (manages all aspects of you VCACHE), it has presets for low memory, multimedia, standard sys, power user, and gaming. Also lets you specify any values you may want to use.

I use the freeware version of cpuidle, run it in the sys tray all the time. It says that it "optimizes" your cpu also (who's to say?)

I guess that's it for now, if I think of anything else I use, I'll let you know!

Good Luck In All,

Mike P.

There's a little program called Regmon that um, monitors your registry. /forum/smile.gif
As it does this in real time, you can see what your apps are messing with in there.
It also has filtering ability, so you can focus on one particular program that may be giving you a headache.

*DANGER WILL ROBINSON*
Messing with your registry can be very bad!

You now have a wealth of information at your fingertips, but might I add just one more suggestion. It's called MTUspeed, I've been running it a couple of days now, and it seems to speed up my already superfast internet connections. The site takes a long time to load under any circumstances, or it seems to be that in my case, but it's much worth the wait.

For anyone with a Super7 m/b, get PowerTweak. It allows you to change settings not found in your bios, plus optimizes your chipset and cpu. It available for Windows, Linux, and BeOS.

I always got tired of making new folders the windows way...I found this program that lets you simply right click on any folder to create a subfolder. It's available at: www.nettally.com/waldoe/freeware/diskutil.html (http://www.nettally.com/waldoe/freeware/diskutil.html)

Here is the description from the site. (BTW..its free)

subfold.zip 41KB 12-27-97 SubFolders allows you to create a subfolder within another folder by right-clicking the parent folder and selecting SubFolder. This method has several advantages: It is quicker than the usual File->New->Folder - The program is faster than Windows95's built-in method - If you have a selection of files you won't lose the selection when you create the folder. You can select your files then create a new directory for them then move them there.
