Hi I bought a new 27 inch flat scren sony WEGA tv like 2 days ago and I thought why not get a s-video cable and auido wires to hook my computer to tv. I did it and sound video works fine but here is the problem.

When the computer is loading and blah blah blah memory counter and windows loading screen the resolution is fine it fills out the screen. But then before it goes into windows it shows a scrambeld screen for 4 seconds and then loads windows fine and everything is ok accept for the fact the screen size shrunk horizontally and doesn't fill out anymore.

Also the resolution is stuck on 800x600 in the display settings, ive read a few of the threads already here and i understand that the resolution can't be changed from that menu but does anyone know why it decides to shrink horizontally by a quarter after it loads and windows goes in. Cause even if the resolution is stuck at this which is legible but hardly perfect i still want it to fill the screen like it does when windows is loading.

I tried browsing through all the properties i can find. Display settings/advanced...Nview everything and i diddn't seem to find any way to strech the screen so it does fit fully. Only options allowing me to change brightness contrast color etc. which I can already do with my remote. And the option to adjust the screen by moving it but not allowing me to strech or resize.

If anyone can help me in anyway on clearing it or making it better somehow id GREATLY appreciate it :)

Here are the important specs.

TV: Sony WEGA 27 inch flat screen tv
Video Card: Geforce 2 mx 400 with s-video out (instlaled with latest nvidia drivers)
Memory: 512 megs of ram

i dunno what else is important to say if anyone can help me or even if just to direct me to some sites that can help ill be very happy. Thanks again and sorry it was so long if anyone actually read it. Just thought Id be as detailed as possible.

Thanks again later guys!
