ok i just got the new ps2 with the online package. well i was wondering what kind of cable would i need to connect it to my dsl. well what i mean from my computer to the ps2. do i need patch or a crossover cable. i have to run the ps2 to my comp because we have wireless network in my house.

You can try setting up ICS on the PC and using a crossover cable from a second NIC there.
You're not using a router? You should really get one and let the router dial in.

i do have a router. a linksys broadband router but it is in another room. the way i get my internet and net work if trough an usb wireless card that connects to the router/access point.

You'll have to try Internet Connection Sharing then. Set it up on your PC. You'll need another network card there to connect the PS2.

oh i already have a crossover cable. i use to have my friend comp hooked to mines. i got another quick question. i have the linksys usb wireless card on my computer and i have the microsoft professional natural wireless keyboard and mouse. since i put the wireless card my mouse has been skipping and sometime the connection to the net die. are the to wireless wave messing each other up? if so can i fix that?

It sounds like you have too many high-bandwidth USB devices. I would add a PCI USB card (ver. 2.0) and plug some stuff in there.

well i have my mouse and keyboard plug to the back straight to the mb (a7v8x) and the wireless card to the front that connects to my mb. i dont know it just makes me mad when im in the middle of downloadin something it stops and i have to restart again

I would try another brand of card then. Also check it's properties in Device Manager and make sure that Windows is not allowed to shut it down to preserve power. Check all Generic and Root hubs for the same setting.
