I'm having difficulties getting gpedt.msc to work in XP pro. I get the following error whenever I try to run it....

Snap in failed to initialize.
Name: Group Policy
CLSID: {8FC0B734-A0E1-11D1-A7D3-0000F87571E3}

...It can be found at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{8FC0B734-A0E1-11D1-A7D3-0000F87571E3}

Anyone have any idea how this happened and how to fix it?

Open a Command Prompt and run SFC /SCANNOW. If that fails, try a repair:
