My work computer here at school takes forever to go into Windows. (Takes AT LEAST 5 minutes, sometimes up to 20 minutes! I don't know why...it just goes into the startup screen and then lingers...) Here's the specs:

PIII-450
128mb RAM
7.8GB hd
toshiba dvd sd-m1202
3.5 floppy
ATI Rage Pro Turbo integrated graphics
Kingston EtheRX pci 10/100
generic mouse and keyboard
Win98SE

I don't know what brand of mobo it is but it's atx, if that's any help.
The computer is a Tangent brand.

Does anyone know what's wrong w/ it?? Pleeeeaaaase help!!!

How many programs load at startup? If there are more then a few it could take a while. Is it loading things from the network?

Is this the entire boot time? From power on to desktop? Or just the Windows part?

Not a lot of programs load up at startup...just the usual mouse, volume, antivirus, video programs plus two corel programs that I have no need oft dont know how to disable: PGPtray and CorelCentral alarms. I think these 2 came from the WordPerfect suite. That's all.

This is the boot time from power up to desktop. As for loading things from the network, I have no earthly clue. Is there a way to check if stuff are loading from the network?
