Does vivo on the ti4800 cards let you capture video off of a hi-8 tape camcorder, or just the digital camcorders?

I have the VIVO on my GF3 and that's how it works. My brother has the ti4800 and his will let him run whatever video he wants. You can run anything in it to capture: DVD, VCR, PS2, camcorders, etc... Oh, one thing, it's not like copying video over to your hard drive. It's more like recording the video on your computer. You have to hook it up to your video in and play it while using a computer program to record the video and sound. S351BlackStang 08-09-2003, 09:04 PM Hey thanks for the feed back, do you know any good programs for video capture? iceblue 08-09-2003, 09:10 PM hm.. sounds like what i need for video capturing. my friend uses Pinnacle Studio 8 to edit his videos... dunno how good it really is but it sure works for him :t rzb932 08-09-2003, 10:05 PM Yup, im jrb420's brother and the ti4800's VIVO works quite nicely. I don't feel like paying or dl'ing a large full scale program just to play my PS2 on my computer. I went to Intervideo's site and found a free prog called WinCoder. It lets you watch what you input but i cant figure out how to record or if the shareware will even let you. SysOpt.com
