Hey people, I downloaded Planet Side for the boys, They have a 7 day trial period. It took like 10 hours to download at a wooping 1.4 GHZ. of files. But now I don't know what type of program I need to install it. It seems to be in a GSI type file, One I've never seen before. Can you help me out. The file shows this--
Planetside_7_day_trial_gsi
Thats all. I tried all the winrar, winace & winzip no luck. I've searched Google but guess I'm realy not sure what to look for:confused: Please let me know thanks:t

The GSI is just a name. The file type comes after the "dot". You don't have "known file type extensions" hidden do you?
The file is an installer executable. It should just open and run. If it isn't doing that, it's either corrupt or you have a virus on your system.
No none of the others are hidden, They have a deal at fileplanet to use there downloading for 3 days 1 dollar. I'll do that. I used the public one last time had to wait about 2 hours to start downloading it. Plus this way I can get the armys ops 1.9V at the same time. Thanks for the info though. The WinRAR tried to open it with no luck so I was hoping it was something else But I guess not, OH Well. :D POOP happens.:D

Try renaming the file to PS.EXE and running it.
