I just installed a 350watt Enermax power supply (this is "hefty" enough to accomodate a 1333/GF3 right?) in my case to replace an old 300W PS that was giving voltage spikes. (actually sags but still not acceptable)

Well, I now know what you guys are talking about when you say the cord is a snake hehe. Dang, these things are like a mile long! Anyhow, I was wondering if there was any technique on divvying up the molex connectors to power all my devices. Here's what I came up with:

The PS has 3 major leads coming out of it, (as far as molex goes) 1 string has 3 molex, another has 3 molex and a mini, and the last has 2 molex and a mini.

If I use just the 3 molex/1 mini string, I can power all 4 devices (DVD, CDRW, HD, and LS-120) all on that one string, allowing me to reserve the others for fans/stowing away. My question though is if I put all 4 devices on 1 string is that drawing too much current through that one strand? I'm trying to work a way so that I can spread the power usage across 2 strands, and stow the third (need the space), but I was just curious as how much power each device would draw and whether or not the total load would be undesireable to place on 1 strand.

Also, a random question is the power supply fan(s) loud? I hear they are silent and real quiet yet still move good amounts of air. Just curious. There is also a fan connector thing that supposedly goes to my motherboard. Is this there just for rpm monitoring in AsusProbe?

I won't be able to hook all of this up and test it out just yet I'm still finalizing the watercooler (mmmm yeah)

Thanks a lot!

I have an Enermax 430w and you don't have to worry about running everything off of one lead, after all it all comes from the same place.Yes they are pretty quiet but not silent. The fan connector is for rpm monitering.
