I'm trying to create some ISO images using nero, but the only option its giving me is a nrg image, which is propriatary to nero... How do I create an ISO image???

The newer Neros can do both iso and nrg, but the older (5.0 and older) versions just do nrg... I think.

I updated so I could have better ISO compatibility because I ran into the same problem.

In the version I have now, in the burn window it offers a choice to burn to an image instead of disk. If you don't see it I'd suggest getting a newer version.

Open Nero click on file and select ISO. :=)

lol you can do that with Nero?

why don you just download an ISO ripper program? its like 5 mb. tops.

Are there and freeware programs that do that? If so, which would you recommend? I clicked on file, there is no "ISO" option btw.

well, theres Isobuster, http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/
and winIso, http://www.winiso.com/
both are free. so try them both!

Well, I use CloneCD. http://www.elby.ch/en/products/clone_cd/
see which one works for you:t
