hi all
ive got an 8600/250 powermac with a g3 card...100/t net & a p3 600 netbox...an hp vectra vl,to be precis...os 9.1 on the mac & windoze 98 on the vectra...i have no 98 disk...they wont talk with a crossover cable,i dont have a switch...i got no burner & the macs got no modem...the mac seems happy enuff but the pcs acting stupid,any suggestions???:confused:

Macs and Apples (pre-OSX) cannot talk without 3rd-party software like PC MacLan.

I heard that you can do file sharing with winxp and OSX v10.2. other than that you are SOL without third party software.

yah pc maclan works...id doesnt like some file types...and some file names...lol...still tryin to figure out how to get the mac on the net thru it tho...thanx guyz!
