hi there guys :p

Lately i've had a lot of clients with old hard drives who had to replace them and i always format and check them and always trusted good old Fdisk and now i also use PM8...but of course physical and logical problems don't always are detected with these, even with the PM8 "recheck bad sectors"...i want to know that if there's any option on PM8 that would allow me to check for lost clusters and bad sectors/bad mbr, plus i want to know that if there's any software that allow to check physical or mechanical problems besides the Western Digital Data Life Guard.....?? this is because i work a lot with very old HD on some clients....

thx.... i hope you get what i said lol....my english is still terrible

Best diagnosis programs are those supplied by the individual hard drive manufacturer

Which manufacturers that don't exist?

If you need utilities for Quantum drives, use Maxtor's. They bought Quantum and provide utilities for those drives.
