Hello,
Building a new system using ASUS P4P800
board, Intel 2.6 Gz 800 FSB.
I'm looking at a Leadtek A 310 TD 128 AGP 8X video
card and it says on the box it is compatible with
AGP 2.0, The Motherboard manual says you must use
AGP cards with 1.5 V.

I believe I'm ok in buying this Vid card, it's
been a while and of course everything progresses.

Any comments or advice would be most welcome.

Best regards

Sciport :)

Welp, the card is AGP 8x so it is 1.5v. As for AGP 2x - typo ? I don't know, but I think there are also AGP 2x 1.5v cards ...

Apologies, it says on the side of the box it's compatible with AGP 2.0 slot.
It is 8X AGP.
Looks like I'm ok, Thanks for the quick reply.

ND, AGP 8x was designed around the AGP 3.0 spec. which calls for 0.8V signalling, 1.5V came in with AGP 2.0/AGP 4x. However the board will support an AGP 4x card since they do run on 1.5V.

What they're trying to avoid is people putting the old AGP 1.0/1x 2x 3.3V cards in those boards, because that is a recipe for disaster.
