are there any good mp3 editors out there

i am looking for a mp3 editor. i am trying to clean up some of my mp3's and need a decent editor to do it with. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Usually mp3 has to be converted into wav before editing. There are few tools that can directly do little things, mp3trim being one of them. Do a mp3 edit search in tucows or cnet =)
