:( After a Virus tore into my machine I decided to reformat my machine which has a Soyo Dragon light board running a Pentium 4 2.40 CPU . I reinstalled Windows 2000, went to windows update and installed the updates but now each time my machine reboots it runs scandisk and I have a issue that sometimes I will click on a button or click on the toolbar and the machine will shut down and reboot. Is this a drive issue from the virus or a Windows issue? And does anyone no how to fix this? Help.

Did you format the drive? That's the only way to be assured that the virus is gone. It can hide anywhere.

If you're using floppies to set up Win2K, scan each for viruses. They can also hide there.
