To me it sounds pretty standard.! I think I have 7.5ns memory or 9ns I don't know. but it does the job.!

You won't notice any difference just by looking using quality memory Vs. low-quality memory. The difference between the two would basically be compatibility and overclockability. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Agree with what NDC said, but when I moved from generic 256MB to Microns' 256MB, I felt the difference, also noticed some improvement in SiSoft Sandra benchmarks (about 20-40MB/s improvement).
