Today, i installed my linksys etherfast 10/100 lan card and my hercules prophet 4500.... but i think I must have touched something else while installing those onto my pc.

The problem : When i boot up my computer, there is a blinking red line that says : "Warning : SPD not found at DIMM 1 & 2"

Can someone tell me what i did ? and how to fix this warning? thx

There should be reference in the BIOS you can disable SPD.

well first i dont want to disable SPD whatever that is. Before i installed my ethernet card and video card, it didnt give me that warning. So Im thinking that i must have touched something.

If i try to open my comp up and see if all things are plugged in tightly, would that warning go away by any chance?

SPD error is a reference to the SPD feature on newer pieces of PC133 ram, used by AMD Athlons and Durons. Might check that your ram is securely installed, but I doubt that is going to fix it.

is the SPD a serious thing? or will it not affect much?
