I have this old creative PCI512 card and I'm having recording problems with it. Every time I try to record anything I get these crackling sounds. Does anyone know whats wrong with it?

Do you aware of "Creative vs VIA" bug ? What mobo do you have ? If it has VIA chipset, installing latest VIA 4-in1 pack should do the work, otherwise you'll have to change some settings in BIOS. Anyway, post more of your system specs ...
