Hey guys, I just installed my new heatsink. I want to thank all of you who recomended me this wonderful heatsink. It keeps my temperatures to 100F. Just imagine how cool it will be when the AS3 sets in.
Another question comes to mind. Why would my motherboard temperature rise? I noticed that it was only at 72-78F, not it's at around 90. I'm in another house, and it's warmer than how I have my room, in here it's like 80F while at my house it's around 65:x

It's a big heatsink... depending on where your manufacturer decided to place the sensor, the fins could be near it to cause it to rise. Also you are drawing more heat away anyhow, so if you pull more heat away, it has to go somewhere, that somewhere is the inside of your case. Hence why there are case fans. I wouldn't worry much at all about it. 90F is still far below a temp that will cause problems with other devices.

I have two fans blowing in, and two of them blowing out. in from front, out from rear.
actually the temps that i had before where of 120-125F  full load :) not it's only 100F :)

125F is OK, but 100! Nice. The SLK900 is one Big *** Cooling Apparatus to Make Your Momma Proud.
I know people running 2.7GHz on Tbreds with that and a tornado. Crazy. :x

Actually, you're removing the same amount of heat, just at a different equilibrium temperature.

cool, my cpu is at 82F, my mobo at 72F :x :D
This is great :)
I'm home btw. Room is nicely cooled down  just the way I like it.

yeah, GP is right, the same amount of heat is getting released, just more quickly.

Im running 104f full load and payed 50% less.:p Just had to rub that in. Oh and its SUPER quiet too. Hehe. Your ambient went up cause the HSF usually blows air on the NB. The mobo sensor is always near the NB as its the hottest part of mobo with the volt reg. there and the NB chip there. So its best palce for mobo sensor. Make SURE that the HSF isnt blowing air other way now. Some HSF like my old 2200+ stock dont blow air outta the fins of HSF onto NB like they SHOULD> my new one does and it dropped mobo temps abit. If yours isnt blowing air onto the NB like it should then I'd put a fan on NB and forget about the mobo temps after that as the only other hot thing there is the V reg transistors. That or put a 120mm or 80mm blow hole there across from cpu-vreg and NB. By the way Im welding up a mod right now in garage. cant wait! Gonna hold two 120mm 2k rpm fans at front but in a dif way. Will post later. And its made to go into window mods of any kind!:t

It doesn't matter what temp your processor gets, really. It's all relative. My 2400+ @ 200x11.5 @ 1.75v run at 43C full load. That's a great temp IMO, since my room temp is often greater than 85°F!. Yes, air conditioning is a nice thing, if only i had it.

without the ac it's at 88F. It's quiet too, and P4, I'm not cheap on my personal goods.
My northbridge is supposedly "Blue light cooled" I'm thinking on putting in a iceberg, or a similar heatsink+fan combo that doesn't need to have an adhesive that will use the same clips at the current heatsink.
Real nice heatesink. I'm very pleased with it. Best $40 bucks I've spent :)
