I was looking at buying an Asus gf4 ti4200 for 70 dollars after rebate and was wondering it they are as good at making video cards as the are at motherboards.

Thanks for any responses.

Hey - a PCB with chips is a PCB with chips when it's made by the same manufacturer. I would assume good quality.

Those chips might not be as good in certain manuf. boards as others. By chips i mean the ram. Some crappy no-name retailer could sell you a board with ram that's rated craptacularly and you would have no headroom.

Well I'm writing this on my second fastest computer and it's got a now old Asus V7100 PRO MX2 400 and never a problem in 2 years. I think the 'best' video cards are probably the ones that last???? I know Gainward hand pick their GPU's and ram chips to give very good performance. I like ASUS but that's my preferance for mobos and video cards. Only done side it the ASUS video cards generally seem to be a tad more expensive than some others.
$70 is about £45 over here...it's a steal..grab it.

Save your beans (PUN intended) for a Asus card anyhow. go to newegg. They are great at treating you right. Its nvidia gpu so they are all third party anyhow so no mix ups possible like with ATI retail vs. built by etc. The egg does returns painlessly also. I'd go there and order it-they have asus cards at a good price and by the truck load!;) :t
