Apparently films watched on my DVD player in my computer keeps freezing or jumping and I was wondering what the cause is and the solution to it.

Can you help me out?

Windows 98 Second Edition is my operating system, pentium 3 733Mhz, i can't remember much. i hope this is helpful!

It sounds like you are using software decoding and don't have enough RAM to keep it running smooth.

You could add more RAM to your system, or get a hardware decoder card, or get a new video card (I have a Radeon LE) to upgrade the performance. Your processor is fast enough, so it has to be one of these to fix the problem.

I have a 128MB RAM and will be getting a DVD decoder today. I hope that will work. Also, I realised that I only have onboard graphics and will be getting a separate graphics card soon. Maybe that could be the cause of the problems.
