i used 3dmark2002pro and it gave me this on my p3 700.

which would i be hoping for? i have a SE440BX-3 (intel doesnt seem to recognize it)

That's a Coppermine.

95% sure. I'm an AMD man, but I do know that Slot 1s can be Coppermines, and those are somewhat older P3s if I remember correctly.

Don't take my intial word for it.. someone else confirm this! :D

Model 8 Stepping 3 indicates Coppermine. Also 256k L2 cache on a PIII also gives this away.

You have a Slot 1 P!!! 700E model.

The E indicates the coppermine core, and yours runs on the 100MHz FSB.

256KB L2 indicates coppermine as well, as does the fact that none of the other cores were released at that clock-speed.
